The final chapter of the beloved anime Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is finally in sight! The initial announcement of the Infinity Castle movie trilogy arrived right after the fourth season of the TV anime, the Hashira Training Arc, concluded in mid-2024. Just months later, Demon Slayer lovers around the world will be excited to see that Ufotable isn’t keeping fans waiting for long. On the morning of December 9th, a brand new poster and teaser trailer were released for the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle Arc, confirming a 2025 film premiere!

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba has been a star of the Japanese anime scene ever since the first episode aired in 2019, and the very first film from the anime smashed records to become the highest grossing film ever released in Japan. (At the height of the covid pandemic, no less!) With new films on the horizon, there’s no denying that expectations are high.
Catch Up on Demon Slayer Before the Final Battle Arc Begins
The Infinity Castle Arc is the penultimate arc of the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba series, and the final two arcs are sometimes grouped together as one “Final Battle Arc.” With the release of the Infinity Castle Arc film trilogy, the series will be moving quickly towards its conclusion, although it’s still unclear whether the final Sunrise Countdown Arc will be produced as a series of films or a season of episodic TV shows. Before this first film hits theaters, make sure you’re all caught up on the story so far:

When to Expect the Infinity Castle Films
The official announcements tell us that the Infinity Castle Arc will be adapted into a trilogy of movies set for release in 2025, under the global supervision of Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment. After an initial release in Japan, it’s also expected to hit theaters around the world! While exact release dates and schedules haven’t been announced yet, the speedy schedule of updates has left us feeling reassured that we won’t be waiting long for our next trip to the demon-filled world of Kimetsu no Yaiba.
