Sooth your soul with a glimpse of some of Japan’s most beautiful scenery (and food!), like the savory, unclouded Kitakata ramen. #SeeYouSoonJapan
Kitakata, Fukushima
Kitakata ramen is one of the "Three Great Ramens of Japan," with the other two being the heavier Sapporo ramen of Hokkaido and Hakata ramen of Fukuoka. Unlike the other Greats, Kitakata ramen is made with a clear, unclouded broth that still maintains intensely satisfying, savory flavor. The noodles are also unique, thanks to their wide, flat, slightly squiggly shape, unusual for ramen. Together with the satisfying chashu pork slices placed on top, it makes for one delicious bowl of ramen, unlike any other. Among others throughout the Kitakata area, Bannai Shokudo is known for making great Kitakata ramen. ↓
