Sooth your soul with a glimpse of some of Japan’s most beautiful scenery, like the majestic facade of Tsuruga Castle. #SeeYouSoonJapan
Tsuruga Castle, Aizu Wakamatsu, Fukushima
Inside of Tsuruga Castle (鶴ヶ城) – also called Aizu-Wakamatsu Castle (会津若松城) – is a surprisingly substantial museum, covering a little of everything from the castle's first construction in the 1300s to its 2011 renovations. About 75% of the signage is in English, teaching visitors all about local battles and the samurai who ran things, but you don't need to read the signs to appreciate the genuine historical swords and enormous helmets on display!
