Kusatsu Onsen (草津温泉)♨️
Kusatsu Onsen est une petite ville thermale au coeur des montagnes très appréciée des touristes pour son côté très ‘Nature’. Kusatsu peut se vanter d’être la ville au plus large volume d’eau thermale à travers le Japon. Les eaux thermales acides du lieu sont reconnues comme riches en souffre, chlore et sulfure d’hydrogène. Les sels de bain ‘Yunohana’ (湯の花) cristallisent les bienfaits des eaux de Kusatsu.
De nombreuses personnes se rendent à Kusatsu Onsen pour assister au ‘Jikan-Yu’ (時間湯), l’événement de la ville. Les eaux de la ville étant à plus de 65°C il est nécessaire de les refroidir en brassant l’eau avec ses longues spatules de bois. Cette tradition appelée ‘Yumomi’ (湯もみ) permet de refroidir les eaux jusqu’à environ 48°C, parfait pour profiter d’un bon onsen!
Après une longue séance de shopping au Karuizawa Prince Shopping Plaza quoi de mieux que de se détendre dans un onsen? Rien de plus simple puisque Karuizawa ne se trouve pas très loin de Kusatsu Onsen, bien que les deux villes ne se trouvent pas dans les mêmes préfectures.
